Briefly
I think it's pretty, but not the perfect ring for me. I think it's too long. A lady who used to go to our church used to wear big long rings like this, all of them turquoise. I didn't like them when I was little.
Anyway, I'll have more interesting things than rings to post about later on, but I have to go out and do errands and send my sister a birthday package!

Haha I appreciate you thinking of me. I am a fan of green and black, but I've never liked big rings. They always frightened me and made me think the wearer was trying too hard---to look wealthy, to seem artsy, to be dramatic, etc. And they get in the way. So, as expected, I like the colors but I've never liked big rings.
True story: I went with my mom to pick out the birthstone ring that she gave me when I was 15---the one that I always wear now, and I still love. The saleswoman at the jeweler's said that I was going to wish I'd gotten something bigger. (Surely she didn't have a motive!) 9 years later, she's still wrong. :-D - August 21, 2009 at 12:56 PM

Interesting that you said "frightened". I was going to write that the church lady's rings "scared" me but then I thought that might be an exageration...but they are pretty awe-inspiring.

The colors really do remind me of Emily. That is a long ring. I can hardly believe someone could wear that on their finger. My fingers are so stubby I don't think I could type if I had a long ring on it.
